Last October,
"So, I have been annoying my friends too much during working hours because I've nothing to do. Some may think that it's a luxury to get paid & do nothing (yes definitely) but can you imagine travelling 1.5 hours to office with no goal/ aim on 'Today's Agenda List'? Browsing through Straits Times/ Business Times, reading ISCA web on audit and even learning coding are my everyday routine 'work'. I would love to be doing something that challenges my limit."
I led too much of a peaceful life in my previous few jobs, karma hit me hard this time round. I never had to do overtime in my previous jobs & I am always ahead of time. Now, I'm either on-time or behind time, mainly depends on how focused I am. Some days I go to work with my things all worked out- what to do, how much time I'll spend on each task- but nope, things never go according to plan.

People ask why I stopped blogging. Simple reason - I don't have time. Yes, it's partially an excuse because if you really like something, you find time for it. Most of the time I find myself drained. Leaving work at 8pm means reaching home at 9.30pm & even if I leave on time (at the risk of getting judged), I reach home around 7.30pm. Dinner, prep and all the misc things, how much time do I really have on hand? I might, I might get back to this- only to show that work isn't the only thing in my life & not my priority either. At age 24, you need to show me that this co is worth working hard for. I'm waiting but also keeping to my 6pm rule as far as I can.
"Working long hours does not equate to working hard, it is about working hard & efficiently."
Four months in, I don't see any definite path but I'm just gonna hang in there and survive because of whatever commitment I've made. Set a time frame and allow some time for change to take place. Press on.
